How to wear and Size Guide

Hold Close Merino Baby Slings are made to fit the wearer. It should be close fitting to ensure babe stays snug and secure.

Hold Close Merino Baby Slings are made to wear with the Merino as the inner. This ensures maximum comfort for your babe. (To make use of the Merino’s thermo-regulating qualities. Ask us for more information if required.) However the wearer may choose to wear with the sling reversed for a different look.

The purpose of the sling is to support the wearer while carrying babe. In no case should wearer discontinue one regular arm support under babe. Wearer should regularly check babe’s position.

Cradle Hold (Newborn)

1. Place Sling over head and rest on opposite shoulder, as if wearing a sash.
2. Ensure the curved seam is at the bottom, this is where babe will rest.
3. With Sling on non-dominant shoulder, gently rest babe in the pouch.
(Adjust until both of you are comfortable and babe is snug.)
4. Turn fabric over shoulder to expose Merino lining. This distributes weight evenly over your back.

Hip Carry/Front hold (When babe can hold head up)

1. Place Sling over head and rest on opposite shoulder, as if wearing a sash.
2. For this hold, wear on dominant shoulder.
3. Place babe up on your shoulder and slide into pouch.
4. Babes legs can be inside or outside of sling.
5. Turn fabric over shoulder to expose the Merino lining. This distributes weight evenly over your back.
6. Nestling advises wearer to maintain one arm underneath babe.
